Last year I carried out a couple of Corporate Photography shoots for the NHS and their Business Services Authority (http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/) at their Newcastle branches Bridge House (Newcastle) and Stella House (Newburn), it was great fun and I was pleased when they got in touch about doing another shoot recently. This one took place at their head quarters Hesketh House in Fleetwood and it was really good to head over to the west coast of England and work with the staff over there this time.
Corporate Photography can take many forms and be used in many different ways but the aim of the shoot was to help build up the authority’s stock image library for internal and some external communications. Obviously when people think of the NHS they picture doctors in uniform but there’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes from a business point of view, and it was my job to capture part of this.
The NHS is heavily involved with students and graduates so some of the images were of the training department carrying out essential skills development for new staff, and I was also lucky enough to be allowed to capture some senior management in a meeting. The NHS is also committed to using technology and I was able to be in a room whilst the staff at Hesketh House had a video conferencing meeting with staff at Stella House which was really interesting. Everyone was very willing and happy to be in the photographs helping me capture some nice relaxed shots of people going about their daily work.
Later this year I’ll be shooting with the NHS again and I’m looking forward to it, but in the mean time if you are looking for Corporate Photography please get in touch to discuss your ideas.
